OV5640 FPC Product Description

5MP OV5640 DVP Camera Module

  • The OV5640 ESP32 Camera Module is a high-performance 5MP (2592×1944 resolution) camera module with a 24Pin MIPI DVP interface designed for embedded vision applications. The module is equipped with OmniVision's OV5640 image sensor, supports autofocus, high dynamic range (HDR) and low-light enhancement, and uses OmniBSI™ technology to provide all the functions of a single-chip 5-megapixel (2592×1944) camera in a small package.

Robotics Camera module

  • The OV5640's image array is capable of running at up to 15 frames per second (fps) with a resolution of 5 megapixels, and the user has full control over image quality, format, and output data transmission. The OV5640 Camera Module also has a built-in compression engine for enhanced processing capabilities. In addition, Omnivision image sensors use proprietary sensor technology to improve image quality by reducing or eliminating common sources of illumination/power image contamination (such as fixed pattern noise, smearing, etc.), resulting in a clear, fully stable color image.

OV5640 MIPI camera module functions and features

1.4 um x 1.4 ym pixel, using OmniBSl technology, excellent performance (high sensitivity, low crosstalk, low noise, high quantum efficiency).

Automatic image control functions: Automatic exposure control (AEC), automatic white balance (AWB), automatic bandpass filtering (ABF), automatic 50/60 Hz brightness detection and automatic black level calibration (ABLC).
Programmable frame rate control, AEC/AGC, 16-region size/position/weight control, mirror and flip, crop, window and pan.
Image quality control: color saturation, hue, gamma, sharpness (edge ​​enhancement), lens correction, defect pixel removal and noise reduction.
Support output formats: RAW RGB, RGB565/555, 1444, CCIR656, YUV422, 1420, YCbCr422 and compression.
