The Resin Sand Mixer is a core equipment in chemically bonded sand molding and core-making processes, specifically designed for the continuous or batch mixing of furan resin sand, alkaline phenolic sand, sodium silicate sand, and other no-bake sand systems. Utilizing high-speed powerful agitation + precise metering + fully automatic control, the mixer ensures thorough blending of base sand, resin, hardener, and additives within seconds—producing stable, highly flowable, high-strength molding or core sand that meets the demanding quality requirements of large, complex, and precision castings.
This mixer is suitable for standalone operation or integration into automated sand lines, widely used in the production of large steel and iron castings for wind power, shipbuilding, metallurgy, heavy machinery, construction equipment, valves, and rail transit. Available in continuous and batch modes, with a capacity range of 1–30 tons/hour, it can be flexibly configured based on customer process requirements.
Core Functions & Process Flow
1. Precise Metering System Equipped with high-precision load cells and frequency-controlled screw feeders for real-time dynamic measurement of base sand (accuracy ±0.5%). Resin and hardener are dosed by corrosion-resistant metering pumps (e.g., gear or screw pumps) at preset ratios, with flow control accuracy ±1%.
2. High-Efficiency Mixing System Features a twin-shaft counter-flow agitator or planetary high-speed rotor, with mixing blades made of wear-resistant alloy steel (e.g., NM400) or ceramic coating for long service life. Mixing time: 15–45 seconds; homogeneity ≥98%, ensuring complete resin coating without "raw spots" or lumps.
3. Intelligent Control System Integrated PLC + 10" HMI enables multi-recipe storage, automatic calling, parameter setting, fault alarms, data logging/export. Optional remote monitoring module allows real-time status viewing via smartphone/PC—enabling unattended operation.
4. Cooling & Dust Collection Mixing chamber equipped with water-cooled jacket or air cooling to control temperature rise and prevent premature resin curing.Pulse cartridge dust collectors at inlets/outlets (emission ≤5 mg/m³) ensure a clean workshop environment.
5. Discharge & Conveying Mixed sand is discharged quickly via pneumatic or electric flip gate, ensuring smooth, residue-free discharge. Can be directly connected to belt conveyor, bucket elevator, or pneumatic system for continuous feeding to molding stations.
