The Coated Sand Regeneration Line is a set of efficient and environmentally friendly equipment designed to solve the problem of recycling and reusing waste coated sand (shell molding sand) in the foundry industry. It uses a series of physical and chemical processes to remove residual resin and other impurities from used sand, restoring its original properties for reuse in high-quality casting production.
This regeneration line integrates key processes such as crushing, screening, magnetic separation, thermal regeneration, cooling, and screening. With modular design, it can be customized according to customer requirements and integrated with intelligent control systems, dust removal systems, and exhaust gas purification devices to meet the needs of modern green foundries.

Thermal regeneration temperature up to 600–800°C ensures over 95% binder removal rate, greatly improving the quality of regenerated sand.
Equipped with multi-stage heat recovery system to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Adopts PLC + HMI central control system supporting temperature adjustment, fault alarm, remote monitoring, etc., ensuring easy operation.
Integrated VOC treatment system meets national emission standards with dust emissions ≤30mg/m³.
Multiple safety protections including emergency stop, gas detection, and over-temperature alarm ensure safe operation.
Main Process Flow
The used film-coated sand is first subjected to preliminary crushing by a crusher, and then large debris is removed through a vibrating screen.
The crushed old sand is then sent to the magnetic separator to remove iron filings and other metallic impurities, ensuring the quality of the subsequent regeneration process.
The sand material is introduced into the rotary kiln type or vertical roasting furnace, and is roasted at a high temperature of 600 to 800℃ to remove the resin film on the surface of the old sand.
The recycled sand material is cooled down to an appropriate temperature (generally ≤ 50℃) through the cooling drum and then undergoes size classification by the vibrating screen.
Qualified recycled sand is conveyed to the finished product storage area by pneumatic or belt systems, and can be automatically weighed and packaged or discharged in bulk.
The exhaust gas and dust generated during the production process are treated by the dust removal system and purification devices, and then discharged in accordance with standards.
