Agricultural Rotary Tiller for 20-100HP Tractors
Product Specification

The BSM 1GQN series rotary tiller is designed for agricultural tractors from approximately 25HP to 100HP. It is used for soil crushing, surface loosening, weed cutting, crop-residue mixing and seedbed preparation before planting.
Power is transferred from the tractor PTO to the rotary shaft through the driveline and side gearbox. The rotating blades cut and mix the soil to produce a finer and more uniform surface than primary tillage implements.
The 1GQN series is available in multiple working widths from approximately 1000mm to 2500mm. Customers can select a suitable model according to tractor horsepower, PTO capacity, field width, soil resistance and required working depth.
The tractor PTO drives the rotary shaft through the PTO shaft and gearbox. Curved blades mounted on the rotor enter the soil, cut the surface layer and mix the soil while the tractor moves forward.
The rear cover helps control soil discharge and contributes to a more level field surface. Working depth is adjusted through the tractor three-point hitch, side skids or other depth-control components according to the final machine configuration.

Technical note: The model data above represents common reference configurations for 1GQN rotary tillers. Final blade quantity, machine weight, gearbox type, PTO shaft and matched tractor power will be confirmed by BSM according to the required working width and field conditions.
| Tractor Power | Suggested Model | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|
| 25-35HP | 1GQN-100 / 1GQN-125 | Small farms, orchards and narrow fields |
| 30-40HP | 1GQN-140 | Small and medium farms |
| 40-55HP | 1GQN-160 | General seedbed preparation |
| 50-65HP | 1GQN-180 | Medium-width field preparation |
| 60-75HP | 1GQN-200 | Medium and large cultivated fields |
| 70-90HP | 1GQN-220 | Wide field preparation and higher efficiency |
| 80-100HP | 1GQN-250 | Large farms and wide working coverage |
The rotary tiller must be matched according to tractor engine power, PTO power, PTO speed, rear lifting capacity, tractor width, soil resistance and required working depth.
The recommended tractor power should not be selected only according to working width. Hard or dry soil requires more PTO power than loose cultivated soil. Deeper operation also increases power demand and blade wear.
The tractor PTO direction and speed must match the rotary tiller gearbox. A standard 540rpm PTO is commonly used, but the final driveline specification must be confirmed before production.
The rotary tiller is suitable for secondary tillage after ploughing, helping break soil clods and prepare a finer surface.
Rotary blades can mix and loosen the surface layer effectively under normal moisture conditions.
The machine can work on dry farmland, but operating speed and depth should be reduced when the soil is very hard.
Moderate straw and surface residue can be mixed into the soil. Heavy or long residue should be chopped before rotary tillage to reduce blockage.
A rotary tiller crushes and mixes the surface soil to prepare a finer seedbed. It is mainly used for secondary or finishing tillage.
A subsoiler loosens compacted soil below the surface without completely turning it. It is used before rotary tillage when the field has a compacted layer.
A mouldboard plough cuts and fully turns the soil to bury weeds and crop residue. Rotary tillage can be performed afterward to break large soil clods.
A disc plough cuts and turns dry, hard or residue-covered soil. A rotary tiller can then refine the surface before planting.
For compacted farmland, the recommended process is subsoiling followed by ploughing and rotary tillage. For normal cultivated soil, ploughing or disc tillage followed by rotary tillage may provide a suitable seedbed.
The actual working process should be selected according to soil hardness, crop residue, moisture, planting method and available tractor power.
The 1GQN series shown on this page is designed for tractors from approximately 25HP to 100HP. The final model depends on working width, soil hardness, PTO power and required depth.
A 540rpm tractor PTO is commonly used. The tractor PTO specification and rotary tiller gearbox must be confirmed before production.
A suitable 50HP tractor can generally use the 1GQN-160 or 1GQN-180 under normal soil conditions. Final selection depends on PTO power, soil resistance and working depth.
The 1GQN-180 or 1GQN-200 may be suitable for a 70HP tractor. The wider model requires greater PTO power and sufficient rear lifting capacity.
It can work in moderately hard soil after reducing speed and working depth. Very hard or compacted soil should first be loosened with a subsoiler, mouldboard plough or disc plough.
Yes. BSM can supply rotary blades, blade bolts, PTO shafts, gearbox components and other wearing parts according to the final model.
Yes. BSM can recommend a tractor and rotary tiller combination according to working width, soil type, farm area, planting requirements and destination country.
For deep loosening and breaking compacted soil before rotary tillage, customers can choose the BSM 3S series tractor subsoiler.
For complete soil inversion and crop-residue burial, customers can select the BSM 1LF hydraulic reversible mouldboard plough.
For dry, hard or residue-covered farmland, BSM hydraulic disc ploughs and disc harrows are also available.
Please provide the tractor model, engine horsepower, PTO power, PTO speed, required working width, soil condition, working depth, crop type, destination country and purchase quantity.
BSM will recommend a suitable 1GQN rotary tiller configuration and provide a factory quotation.
