The nut connects mechanical equipment through its internal threads, matching with bolts of identical specifications. For example, an M4-P0.7 nut can only connect with M4-P0.7 bolts (where M4 indicates a ~4mm inner diameter and 0.7 indicates 0.7mm between thread teeth). Similarly, 1/4-20 nuts match with 1/4-20 screws (0.25" inner diameter, 20 teeth per inch).
Excellent thermal/electrical conductivity but naturally soft. Requires proper handling during processing to avoid buildup and cutting difficulties.
EDM machining recommended due to alloy viscosity. Requires deionized water medium to control heat during processing.
High strength material often processed with wire cutting machines for complex features. Requires heat management during machining.
High tensile strength with good machinability. Requires slower cutting speeds due to soft metal properties.
