The nut connects mechanical equipment through internal threads, matching precisely with bolts of the same specifications. For example, an M4-P0.7 nut connects only with M4-P0.7 bolts (where M4 indicates ~4mm inner diameter and 0.7 indicates 0.7mm thread pitch). Similarly, 1/4-20 nuts match only with 1/4-20 screws.
Excellent thermal and electrical conductivity but naturally soft. Requires proper handling during processing to avoid difficulties in cutting.
Well suited for EDM machining but requires deionized water as a medium to control heat during processing.
Very strong metal often machined with wire cutting machines for complex features. Generates significant heat requiring precautions.
High tensile strength and easy to machine but requires slow cutting speeds due to softness.
