Why is anti-loosening required for hexagon bolts? It is to ensure they function better, more enduringly, and more effectively. So, what anti-loosening methods exist for hexagon bolt connections? Below are five introduced: First: Friction-based anti-loosening; Second: Mechanical anti-loosening; Third: Permanent anti-loosening; Fourth: Riveting and punching anti-loosening; Fifth: Structural anti-loosening. Friction-Based Anti-Loosening This is the most widely applied anti-loosening method. It generates a positive pressure between threaded pairs that remains unaffected by external forces, thereby creating friction capable of preventing relative rotation. This positive pressure can be achieved by axially compressing the threaded pair or simultaneously compressing it in both directions. Examples include using spring washers, double nuts, self-locking nuts, and nylon insert lock nuts. This method facilitates nut removal but, under impact, vibration, or variable loads, the bolt's preload diminishes initially due to relaxation. As vibration cycles increase, the loss of preload progressively worsens, ultimately leading to nut loosening and threaded joint failure. Mechanical Anti-Loosening Employing split pins, stop washers, and wire rope fastenings. Mechanical anti-loosening methods are comparatively reliable and should be utilised for critical connections.

The low-carbon composition of SS316L improves weldability and reduces carbide precipitation, making it ideal for saltwater and acidic environments. The A4-70 designation indicates a yield strength of 700 MPa, ensuring reliable performance under stress.
