Operation Mechanism
The quick release pin operates via a spring-loaded ball mechanism. When inserted, the ball extends into the hole or detent, locking the pin securely in place. Pressing the button on the handle retracts the ball, allowing for easy removal. This design ensures quick changeover and replacement of components.
Types of Quick Release Pins
Push-Pull Pins
Featuring a braking assembly with locking lugs or balls supported by a resilient core, these pins are ideal for shear load applications. They require deburred or chamfered holes for optimal performance.
Positive Locking Pins
These pins maintain their locking action independently of insertion/withdrawal forces. Suitable for both shear and some tensile loads, they come in single-acting, double-acting, and heavy-duty cotter pin variants.
Handle Styles
Available in multiple configurations including T-Handle, Ring Handle, L-Handle, Push Button Handle, and Double Acting designs to suit various application requirements.
