Quick release pins, also known as ball lock pins or safety pins, are versatile fastening solutions designed for securing, locking, connecting, and adjusting components with quick position changes. When used with a receiver plate, they provide reliable and secure locking functionality.
These pins feature a solid or hollow shank with a braking assembly (locking lugs, buttons, or balls) supported by a resilient core. Designed for shear load applications, they are not suitable for tensile loads. Hole edges should be deburred for optimal assembly.
With locking action independent of insertion/withdrawal forces, these pins can withstand both shear and some tensile loads. Available in three variants:
