Electrical discharge wire cutting (wire EDM) is an electrothermal production process that removes material from conductive workpieces using electrical discharge. As an improvement on traditional EDM methods, it works with nearly all conductive materials and can produce intricate designs and shapes.
This non-contact manufacturing process uses charged fine wires and dielectric fluids to shape metal parts with exceptional precision. The technology offers high processing accuracy, production efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, making it particularly valuable in mold processing industries.
