The basic principle of stud welding involves striking an arc between the stud to be welded and the workpiece; when the stud and workpiece have been heated to the appropriate temperature, the stud is pressed into the weld pool on the workpiece under external force to form a welded joint.
Traditional stud welding machines are generally classified into the following two types: conventional arc stud welding and capacitor-storage stud welding. Informal terms include: stud-setting machine, welding machine, welding inserter, stud inserter, screw welding machine, and screw welding machine, amongst others.
Many people hold a rather one-sided view of energy-storage stud welding:
‘The weld strength of energy-storage stud welding is not as high as that of arc stud welding, so energy-storage welding is not as secure.’
There are likely two reasons for this perception:
Firstly, an incomplete understanding of weld strength (a minority);
Secondly, having used stud welding machines that produced inconsistent weld quality and frequently encountered stud drop-out issues, leading to a lack of confidence in energy-storage stud welding technology (the majority).

This metric M10 stainless steel weld stud with electrophoresis finish is professionally applied to outdoor energy storage cabinets and environmental protection machinery assembly projects, combining the advantages of stainless steel material stability and electrophoresis surface treatment technology. The high-quality stainless steel base material effectively avoids structural rust and material aging caused by long-term outdoor exposure, and maintains stable mechanical performance in variable temperature and humidity environments. The weld stud has moderate welding heat input, stable welding forming and no structural deformation after welding, which is conducive to the assembly and fixing of outdoor environmental protection dust removal equipment, energy storage power distribution cabinets and outdoor power machinery.
