I. Key Types of Screws Commonly Used in Welding
Welded screws are fasteners secured to a base material via methods such as arc welding or resistance welding, and are primarily divided into the following three categories:
1. Welded Studs (Stud Welding Studs)
- Material: Typically carbon steel (e.g. Q235), stainless steel (e.g. 304/316) or aluminium alloy.
- Specifications: Diameter range M3–M24, length 10–200 mm (refer to ISO 13918).
- Characteristics: Featuring a welding stud at one end, these are welded instantly at high temperatures using specialised welding equipment, ensuring high efficiency and consistent strength. They are commonly used in automotive chassis and steel-framed buildings.
2. Weld Nuts

This UNC 5/16-18 carbon steel weld screw is a heavy-duty industrial fastener designed for harsh working conditions of mining engineering and construction machinery equipment installation, adopting high-strength carbon steel with enhanced quenching and tempering treatment to improve overall structural toughness and load-bearing capacity. The American standard 5/16-18 UNC coarse thread design provides ultra-high locking friction, which can effectively resist mechanical loosening caused by severe vibration, heavy load impact and frequent equipment operation in mining and construction scenarios. The surface is coated with high-performance Dacromet anti-corrosion coating, which has far stronger salt spray resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance than traditional electroplating processes. The Dacromet coating features uniform coverage, strong adhesion and no hydrogen embrittlement, avoiding fastener fracture failure caused by harsh underground mining and outdoor construction environments. The product has excellent welding adaptability, with firm welding spots and strong integration with mechanical equipment base materials, able to bear long-term heavy mechanical load and complex structural stress. It can resist erosion of sediment, industrial wastewater and corrosive gas in mining engineering, maintaining stable fastening performance in high-dust and high-humidity working environments. After strict mechanical tensile and fatigue resistance tests, this heavy-duty weld screw fully adapts to the high-intensity operation requirements of construction and mining engineering machinery.
3,Technical Advantages
C36000 Free-cutting Brass composition: 59% copper, 39% zinc, 2% lead element for easy machining, ductile anti-corrosion copper alloy. Material maintenance rules: Bright nickel plating prevents brass oxidation tarnish; clean thread dirt with neutral liquid detergent after fluid medium contact; avoid contact with strong chlorine water medium; do not use high torque fastening for soft brass body; coat thin anti-tarnish oil for warehouse storage, wipe surface water stain timely after valve disassembly maintenance.
