Applications:

 

The machine is primarily designed for high-efficiency drilling of workpieces such as sieve plates and thin metal plates within the specified effective thickness range. It is capable of machining through-holes in both single-material and composite-material components. The complete machining operation is digitally controlled, ensuring convenient operation and simplified process management. The equipment is well suited for automated, high-precision, multi-specification, and large-scale production.

Machine Structure:

 

The machine mainly consists of a worktable, movable gantry, moving saddle, multiple drilling power heads, automatic lubrication system, protective devices, circulating cooling system, digital CNC control system, and electrical control system. The machine tool utilizes rolling linear guideway assemblies for support and guidance and precision ball screw assemblies for drive transmission, providing excellent positioning accuracy and repeatability.

 

 

1. Worktable:
The machine bed and worktable are manufactured as integral gray cast iron (HT250) castings. Following secondary annealing and aging treatment, the components are precision-machined to provide superior static and dynamic rigidity while effectively maintaining dimensional stability without deformation. The worktable surface is finely machined and equipped with appropriately arranged T-slots for reliable workpiece positioning and clamping. Two high-precision linear guideways are installed on each side of the bed base, ensuring uniform load distribution across the guide slides and substantially enhancing the machine tool's structural rigidity, tensile strength, and compressive strength. The drive system adopts an AC servo motor in combination with a precision ball screw assembly for dual-side synchronous drive, enabling accurate gantry movement along the Y-axis. Adjustable leveling bolts are distributed along the bottom of the bed, allowing convenient adjustment of the bed and worktable level and alignment.

 

 

2. Mobile Gantry:
The mobile gantry is manufactured from gray cast iron (HT250) through precision casting and machining processes, providing a rigid and stable supporting structure. The front section of the gantry is equipped with two high-load-capacity rolling linear guideway assemblies, two sets of precision ball screw assemblies, and two servo motors, allowing the power-head slides to travel accurately along the Y-axis. Each power-head slide is fitted with a dedicated drilling power head. The gantry is driven by servo motors through precision couplings connected to the ball screw assemblies, ensuring smooth transmission, accurate positioning, and stable movement.

 

3. Moving Saddle:
The moving saddle is a precision cast-iron structural component designed to provide stable support and accurate positioning for the drilling head. It is equipped with two high-load-capacity CNC hardened guide slides, a precision ball screw assembly, and a high-precision planetary reducer coupled with a servo motor. This configuration drives the drilling head along the Z-axis and enables rapid approach, controlled feeding, rapid retraction, and stopping operations. The system also incorporates automatic chip-breaking, chip-removal, and pause functions, contributing to efficient machining cycles and reliable operational performance.

 

 

4. Drilling Power Head:
The drilling power head is driven by a dedicated three-phase spindle motor, which directly powers the precision spindle assembly. The spindle is supported by a five-row Japanese angular-contact bearing arrangement, comprising three bearings at the front and two at the rear, providing stable spindle support and enabling stepless speed adjustment. The feed mechanism is powered by a servo motor and precision ball screw assembly, ensuring accurate and responsive feed movement. The X- and Y-axis systems support coordinated linkage under semi-closed-loop control, allowing both linear and circular interpolation operations. The spindle nose is equipped with an ER tool holder to provide secure and precise tool clamping for drilling operations.
