Machine tool use:

 

This machine tool is primarily designed for drilling, tapping, and marking operations on steel materials such as H-beams and channel steel. It adopts three BT40 high-speed spindles to perform drilling operations on three sides of the steel—with one spindle allocated to each side. The corresponding row-type tool magazine can accommodate up to 4 specifications of drill bits. It boasts the features of high processing efficiency, high precision, easy operation, and broad applicability.

Machine Tool Structure and Configuration


This machine tool is primarily composed of a drilling unit, a feeding trolley, a feeding channel, a discharging channel, a cooling system, a hydraulic system, a pneumatic system, a lubrication system, an electrical system, and other key components. The machine tool adopts a structural design featuring a fixed bed and a movable workpiece platform. This configuration for 3D drilling facilitates the implementation of automated production processes, enhancing operational efficiency and consistency.

 

 

1. Drilling Unit


The drilling unit is primarily composed of a base, a machine bed, a movable slide, a spindle headstock, an upper pressing device, a side clamping device, and a row-type tool magazine.


The machine tool is equipped with three spindle headstocks, specifically the fixed-side spindle headstock, movable-side spindle headstock, and upper-unit spindle headstock. These headstocks are respectively used for drilling operations in the horizontal and vertical directions. Each spindle headstock supports independent operation and can perform drilling tasks simultaneously—this parallel processing capability significantly enhances production efficiency.

 

 

2. Feeding Trolley


The feeding trolley comprises gears, servo motors, and manipulators. The manipulator secures the workpiece and is driven by a servo motor; via the rack-and-pinion drive, it feeds the workpiece along the X-direction. This design ensures the longitudinal processing accuracy of drilling operations, laying a solid foundation for consistent workpiece quality.

 

 

3. Feeding Channel


The feeding channel is composed of a channel bracket, support rollers, side positioning rollers, side pushing mechanisms, racks, and other components. It is designed to carry workpieces to be processed. A photoelectric switch is mounted at the front end of the channel; this switch detects the front end of the workpiece and identifies the X-direction processing reference. The side positioning rollers perform rough positioning of the workpiece along the Y-direction, while the side pushing mechanisms press the workpiece against the side positioning rollers to ensure stable positioning.

This machine tool is primarily engineered for drilling, tapping, and marking operations on H-beams, channel steel, and a variety of other steel workpieces. It is capable of processing steel components with diverse specifications, ensuring both high precision and operational efficiency throughout the process.


In sample demonstrations, for instance, the machine tool can effectively showcase its processing capabilities on standard H-beam samples (with varying flange widths and web thicknesses) as well as channel steel samples of different dimensions. These displayed samples clearly demonstrate the machine tool’s ability to achieve accurate hole positioning, smooth tapped threads, and distinct marking patterns—fully reflecting its high precision and reliability in practical application scenarios.
