Application:

 

The CNC Gantry Plate Drilling and Milling Machine is specifically designed for high-precision machining of tube sheets, flanges, bearings, heat exchangers, and other plate-type components used in industries such as petrochemical engineering, nuclear power, wind energy, boiler manufacturing, and steel structure fabrication. The machine supports high-speed carbide drilling with internal coolant supply as well as high-speed twist drilling with external cooling. It integrates multiple machining capabilities—including drilling, chamfering, tapping, milling, and boring—within a single platform. An optional automatic right-angle attachment further expands the machine's functionality by enabling side drilling, tapping, and milling operations.

Product features

 

1. The machine is primarily composed of a rigid machine base, longitudinal slide assembly, gantry frame, transverse slide, vertical feed mechanism, drilling and milling spindle head, worktable, coolant circulation system, automatic chip conveyor, centralized lubrication system, pneumatic system, electrical control system, and other supporting assemblies, providing a complete and highly efficient machining solution.

 

 

2. The servo-controlled sliding spindle head is designed to perform drilling, reaming, tapping, chamfering, and groove milling operations. It can operate either independently or in synchronized motion with other machine axes to maximize machining flexibility. The spindle is equipped with a high-precision BT50 Taiwan-manufactured spindle featuring an internal coolant system and a butterfly spring automatic tool-clamping mechanism. Hydraulic tool release enables rapid and convenient replacement of drilling and milling tools, significantly improving machining efficiency.

 

 

 

3. The machine incorporates high-precision linear guideways to provide smooth, stable, and highly accurate movement. Motion is driven by an AC servo motor through a synchronous belt and precision ball screw transmission system, ensuring exceptional positioning accuracy, repeatability, and reliable long-term machining performance.

 

 

4. The machine frame and gantry are manufactured from premium-grade cast iron or heavy-duty welded steel plate structures. Both components undergo high-temperature stress-relief annealing before machining, followed by a secondary stress-relief treatment after semi-finishing. Final precision machining ensures superior structural rigidity, excellent dimensional stability, and consistent machining accuracy throughout extended service life.
