This equipment is specially engineered for the automated welding of transmission tower base assemblies. In addition to welding reinforcement plates, it is capable of completing the 11 principal weld seams of the tower base structure, a dedicated root-cleaning weld, and the welding of sealing cap corner joints. Through intelligent robotic control and advanced welding technology, the system delivers outstanding welding accuracy, consistent weld quality, and high production efficiency, making it an ideal solution for modern transmission tower manufacturing.

Product Features:

 

1. Repeatability: The system provides a positioning repeatability of no less than ±0.05 mm.

2. Path Accuracy: The trajectory accuracy remains within ±0.1 mm.

3. Structural Design: The arc welding robot features a highly stable and robust mechanical structure, designed for prolonged, continuous industrial operation.

4. Working Envelope: Supports workpieces up to 1500 mm in dimension, fulfilling the complete spectrum of welding requirements.

5. Operating Method: Workpieces are mounted on a positioner fixture, while the welding head is installed on a dedicated robotic platform. During operation, the robot and positioner function in coordinated synchronization. By employing robotic vision scanning combined with a laser seam-tracking system, welding paths are generated automatically without programming. This configuration enables the welding of complex and irregular components with ease of operation and minimal operator training.

 

 

1. Welding System
The equipment is integrated with a high-performance AOTAI arc welding power source, supporting a wide range of welding processes, including MIG, MAG, and TIG, for transverse, longitudinal, and vertical welding applications. The welding current and voltage are continuously adjustable to accommodate different workpiece geometries, material grades, and thicknesses, ensuring excellent arc stability, superior weld formation, and consistent welding quality.
The system is equipped with a premium Apollo welding torch and high-quality auxiliary components, including an automatic wire feeding system, contact tips, and related accessories, ensuring reliable wire delivery, stable welding performance, and long-term operational durability.

 

2. Intelligent Recognition & Automatic Conversion
The system incorporates advanced intelligent recognition technology capable of automatically identifying essential welding information—including weld locations, seam types, and joint configurations—from engineering drawings or digital production data. The recognized information is automatically converted into executable robotic welding programs, typically within 30 seconds. Program data can be imported through network communication, USB devices, and other standard communication interfaces for rapid production setup.

 

 

3. Control System
① Digital Control Platform:
The equipment adopts an advanced digital control system that provides highly accurate robot trajectory control together with flexible adjustment of welding parameters, ensuring stable and repeatable welding performance.
② Programming Method:
Visual scanning-assisted programming is supported through an intuitive Human–Machine Interface (HMI), allowing operators to generate welding programs quickly while maintaining precise control over complex welding paths and process parameters.
③ Communication Interface:
Multiple industrial communication interfaces are available for seamless integration with automated production lines, peripheral equipment, and factory control systems, supporting intelligent manufacturing and coordinated production management.

 

 

4. Positioner Support Structure
The robot positioner is constructed with a high-rigidity support frame designed to withstand the dynamic loads generated by both the robotic manipulator and heavy workpieces during welding operations. This configuration supports a broad range of welding positions and intricate joint geometries, including three-dimensional curved weld seams, while delivering exceptional welding precision, flexibility, repeatability, and production efficiency.
