Color coated sheets come in a vast array of over 600 varieties, but due to the diversity and lack of a unified classification system, they are generally categorized based on customary practices. Each manufacturer may have unique equipment, technologies, and product varieties, further complicating standardized classification. Here, we outline the general categories for clarity.

Matt Textured Colour Coated Steel Sheet

Matt Textured Colour Coated Steel Sheet begins with a hot-dip galvanized alloy steel plate as its substrate. Using a continuous roller coating production method, special additives are incorporated into the coil topcoat. After baking, this creates a distinctive, fishing net-like pattern effect. These sheets can be professionally customized to meet various customer specifications, including different sizes, depths, and shades of texture patterns, offering a wide range of aesthetic and functional options.

Colour Coated Coil Usage:

Colour coated coil has light weight, beautiful and good anti-corrosion properties, and can be directly processed, the colour is generally divided into grey and white, sea blue, brick red, mainly used in advertising, construction, home appliance industry, electrical appliances industry, furniture industry and transport industry.

The coatings used for colour coated rolls are selected according to the use of different environments with suitable resins, such as polyester silicone modified polyester, polyvinyl chloride plastisol, polyvinylidene chloride and so on. Users can choose according to the use.

Coating Structures:

Type of coating structure

2/1: Coat upper surface twice, lower surface once, bake twice.

2/1M: Coat upper and lower surfaces twice, bake once.

2/2: Top and bottom surfaces are coated twice each and baked twice.

Usage of Different Coating Structures:

1. 2/1 Structure:
   • Purpose: Despite its weaker corrosion and scratch resistance, it excels in adhesion properties, making it suitable for sandwich panels where bonding strength is crucial.
   • Application: Primarily employed in sandwich panel manufacturing to ensure strong adhesion between layers.
2. 2/1M Structure:
   • Purpose: Designed to offer enhanced corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, and moldability, with good adhesion properties.
   • Application: Ideal for single-layer compression molding panels and suitable for both pressboards and sandwich panels where durability and bonding strength are essential.
3. 2/2 Structure:
   • Purpose: Provides superior protection against corrosion and scratches, along with excellent processability.
   • Application: Mainly used in single-layer pressboards to ensure robust surface protection and reliable adhesion, but less suitable for sandwich boards due to lower adhesion properties.
