Lightweight Aluminum Foil Fiberglass Cloth for Easy Handling and Installation in Industrial Settings

Description 

The basic fabric of this aluminized fiberglass cloth is a 430 g/m² (0.4 mm) woven fiberglass fabric. This base cloth is laminated with an aluminum foil layer using a high-temperature resistant adhesive, resulting in a total weight of 480 g/m² and a total thickness of 0.43 mm.

The fiberglass base fabric performs well in continuous operating temperatures ranging from -100°F to 1022°F (-73°C to 550°C). The aluminum foil can be used safely below 1220°F (660°C), while the special adhesive begins to melt above 300°C. However, the material can withstand short-term exposure to even higher temperatures due to aluminum’s heat absorption characteristics.

This aluminized fiberglass fabric, also known as silver-coated fiberglass cloth, is widely used as thermal insulation covering for steam pipelines, heat insulation materials in construction, and protective barriers in industrial environments. It features excellent fire resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, heat insulation performance, and sound absorption properties.

What are the uses of aluminum foil fiberglass cloth?
Electrical insulation: It can be made into insulating cloth and tubing, suitable for applications requiring high electrical insulation performance.
Non-metallic compensators: It is used as flexible pipe joints and non-metallic compensators. It is primarily used in power plants, the petroleum, chemical, cement, and steel industries.
