Can stainless steel be hot rolled?
Hot rolling enhances stainless steel features such as toughness, ductility, formability, and weldability. Stainless steel shrinks a little as it cools. The accuracy of intolerances and shapes are compromised in hot rolled stainless steel products.
What is the difference between hot rolled and cold rolled steel plate?
The main difference between hot and cold rolled steel is in how they are processed. Hot rolled steel is steel that has been rolled at high temperatures, while cold rolled steel is essentially hot rolled steel that is further processed in cold reduction materials.
Will hot rolled steel rust?
The variations of color along the steel sheets provide for character throughout the sculpture. The down side to hot roll dry is that because it does not have a finish it is prone to rusting.
