The D-series air cooler, which is also referred to as a chiller, is an appropriate cooling and refrigeration equipment that can be used in various types of cold storages such as the civil cold storage or the combined cold storage. The D-series air cooler comes in three different types, which are the DL, DD, and DJ; each of these types is suitable for different storage temperature cold storages.
The D-series air cooler boasts of various advantages that include its lightweight and compact structure, which do not occupy the area of the cold storage. It guarantees a uniform temperature of the storage and high efficiency in cooling down the food stored in the cold storage. This feature allows the stored food to cool down quickly, therefore greatly enhancing the freshness of the stored food.
The D Series Chiller is a type of refrigeration equipment used in freon refrigeration units. This chiller is designed for preservation, freezing, and refrigeration. Depending on the use of temperature, the D Series chiller is divided into DL, DD, and DJ three series which can be applied to different storage temperatures. DL type chiller is mainly suitable for 0℃ or so fresh storage, DD type chiller is mainly suitable for 18℃ cold storage. D type chiller is mainly suitable for quick-freezing storage below -25℃.

The Type D series of air coolers can be used in conjunction with compressor units of varying cooling capacity to achieve the desired storage temperature in different cold storage environments.
When the desired storage temperature is approximately 0°C, the DL type air cooler can be used for cold storage of fresh eggs or vegetables. On the other hand, the DD type air cooler is ideal for cold storage of meat, fish, and other frozen foods, where the storage temperature can reach as low as -18°C.
For cold storage that requires a temperature of -25°C, Type D air cooler is recommended for quickly freezing meat or fresh fish products, as well as prepared foods.
