Aluminum-zinc coated color steel coil is a composite sheet made by coating multiple layers of organic coatings (primer, topcoat, backcoat) on the surface of an aluminum-zinc coated substrate. It combines the excellent corrosion resistance of the aluminum-zinc substrate with the decorativeness and functionality of the color coating, making it a cost-effective choice in various industries. At the substrate level, the aluminum-zinc coated substrate contains 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. Aluminum forms a dense oxide film on the surface to block the penetration of corrosive media, while zinc provides electrochemical sacrificial protection. The outer color coating uses weather-resistant resins (such as PVDF, PE), which can resist erosion from harsh environments like ultraviolet rays, acid rain, and high temperature & humidity. With this dual protection, its outdoor service life can reach 20-30 years, far exceeding that of ordinary galvanized color steel coils (10-15 years). It is especially suitable for areas with severe corrosion such as coastal regions and industrial zones.
The color coating can achieve a wide range of color (e.g., full color spectrum of RAL color card) and texture (flat coating, wood grain, stone grain, metal wire drawing) effects, which can match the design needs of different architectural styles (modern minimalist, European retro, industrial style) or home appliance appearances. At the same time, the coating gloss (high gloss, matte, dull) can be customized according to scenarios, balancing aesthetics and user experience (e.g., matte coating avoids strong light reflection).
The substrate itself has high tensile strength and ductility. Even after coating, it still maintains good bending, stamping, and shearing performance, and can be processed into various forms such as profiled sheets, arc sheets, and special-shaped parts to meet the shape requirements of different construction or production scenarios. Although the initial purchase price is higher than that of ordinary galvanized color steel coils, its total life-cycle cost is lower due to the "long service life + low maintenance" characteristics.
