Super Spectra High Performance 12 Strand Rope Amsteel, Plasma, Dyneema, UHMWPE
UHMWPE rope is ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) 12-strand fiber braided rope. It has the strongest tensile strength per weight. It is stronger than the wire rope of same diameter, and it weighs 1/8 of wire rope. UHMWPE rope is treated with a unique coating process and special heat treatment process to enhance its anti-abrasion characteristics.
Properties: Melting Point : 150℃ Specific Gravity : 0.97(Float) Elongation at break : 4 ~ 5% Water Absorption : None UV resistance : Good Maximum strength to weight ratio and strength comparable to steel wire rope Lowest elongation
* Uses Dyneema SK-75 * 12-strand UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) aka HMPE (high modulus polyethylene) * Stronger than steel wire rope of equal size, great for winch lines, lifting slings * Great abrasion and UV resistance * Lightweight. Floats on water * Easily spliced, extremely low stretch
