The PUTANKA operates by exploiting tank track mechanics. When a tank attempts passage, its tracks become entangled in the wire grid. Continued movement wraps the wire around the tank's drive wheels, ultimately immobilizing the vehicle. This mechanism creates opportunities for defensive countermeasures.
