The SMC-5000 is a medium-sized three-track concrete slipform paver designed for curb, drainage ditch, roadside, barrier and rural road construction. It supports both side-mold and center-mold paving configurations, allowing contractors to adapt the machine to different concrete structures. Compared with traditional formwork and manual construction, the SMC-5000 integrates concrete feeding, vibration and slipform molding into a continuous process, helping improve construction efficiency, reduce labor requirements and achieve consistent concrete forming quality.
Traditional curb and drainage construction often requires repeated setting-out, formwork installation, concrete placement and formwork removal. For long-distance road projects, this process can increase labor costs, construction time and quality-control challenges.
The SMC-5000 uses full hydraulic drive and crawler traveling technology for stable movement during concrete forming. Its side-mold configuration is suitable for curbs, drainage ditches and roadside structures, while the center-mold configuration can be used for selected road and concrete applications. Hydraulic mold adjustment helps operators adapt the machine to different construction conditions.

The SMC-5000 can be applied to highway shoulders, concrete drainage ditches, curbs, barriers, rural roads, urban roads and other concrete structures. It is particularly suitable for projects requiring continuous construction, reduced formwork use and stable concrete forming quality.
Concrete is fed into the paving area and distributed into the mold. The vibration system compacts the concrete while the machine moves forward at a controlled speed. The slipform mold continuously shapes the fresh concrete into the required curb, ditch or roadside structure.
For narrower curb and small-section applications, smaller slipform pavers such as the SMC-521 or SMC-523 may be more suitable. For larger structures, the SMC-5000 provides a wider working range and stronger construction capability.
