Hydraulic Conductor Reel Stand for Controlled Pay Out of Large Overhead Conductors
The Hydraulic Conductor Reel Stand is built for one of the toughest jobs on an overhead line project: lifting and paying out large, heavy conductor reels without exposing the crew to unnecessary risk. A self-contained hydraulic system raises reels weighing up to 7000kg to the correct working height, while sealed high-capacity bearings let a single operator rotate the drum smoothly at up to 45rpm. Two models, SIPZ-5H and SIPZ-7H, cover reel diameters from 1250mm to 2500mm.
Built for Real Stringing Crews
Hydraulic lifting: a hand-operated pump raises multi-ton reels to working height, replacing cranes and manual lifting that cause most back and crush injuries on site.
Stable wide base: a heavy-gauge steel frame and reinforced footprint resist tipping under full rated load and side pull.
Controlled pay out: high-capacity bearings and 1200-2000 N.m working torque feed conductor at a steady 45rpm without jerking, kinking or overrun.
Height adjustment: tune reel height to align with stringing blocks and the tensioner, keeping the conductor path straight and friction low.
Conductor protection: keeps reels off the ground and clear of grit, preserving the conductor surface and its mechanical integrity.
Every frame is fabricated from high-strength steel, checked for squareness on a jig, and finished with a corrosion-resistant coating. Hydraulic cylinders and pumps are pressure-tested, and each completed stand is run through a full lift-and-rotate cycle before packing. Units are produced under ISO 9001 certified quality management, and an inspection record is supplied with every shipment.
