This popular backplane connector system offers cost-effectiveness, user flexibility, standardization, and broad availability, making it suitable for chassis-based packaging in Communications, Data, Energy, Medical, and Industrial & Instrumentation segments. Available in standard signal modules of 5 and 8 rows, with options for hybrid modules incorporating signal, power, and coaxial contacts, these connectors provide versatile circuit design capabilities with data rates up to 3Gb/s. They mate with vertical and right-angle headers, offering features like adequate spacing for PCB trace routing, modular scalability, and a 2-beam tulip contact for reliability.
