Amphenol's Bristle Brush Contact technology, featured in their Low Mating Force Rectangular Connectors, offers a superior electrical connection through multiple strands of high tensile strength wires bundled together. This design provides redundant current paths with a high number of contact points per mated contact, ensuring a gas-tight junction. Proven in military avionics and meeting MIL-DTL-55302 requirements, these connectors offer high density in tighter spacing, exceptionally low mating and un-mating forces (70-90% reduction compared to conventional pin-socket contacts), and proven durability with a long contact life of up to 100,000 mating cycles. Applications span medical equipment, IC chip testers, telecommunications, military and commercial aviation, military ground vehicles, and GPS systems. The series also offers design flexibility with hybrid configurations combining brush contacts with power, coax, or fiber optic termini.
