TE Connectivity's MAG-MATE terminals are insulation displacement connectors (IDCs) designed for reliable magnet wire terminations. They eliminate the need for pre-stripping magnet wire insulation, post-insulating terminations, and automatically trim excess wire during the termination process. MAG-MATE terminals create a clean metal-to-metal interface, ensuring stable, gas-tight electrical connections free of oxides and contaminants. They are available in various styles including poke-in, poke-in tab, splice, crimp wire barrel, solder post, quick connect tab, pin, and receptacle types, catering to magnet wire sizes from 34 to 12 AWG [0.16-2.05 mm]. These terminals are widely used in motor windings, coil connections, transformer windings, lighting ballasts, and power supplies.
