The Anderson Power Products (APP) SB 50 connectors, a design pioneered by Anderson in 1953, set the standard for DC power distribution and battery connections. These two-pole connectors feature a one-piece plastic housing with stainless steel springs to secure low-resistance contacts. Capable of handling wire sizes from #16 (1.5 mm) to #6 (13.3 mm), the SB 50 connectors offer UL-rated currents up to 120 amps and are UL rated for hot plugging up to 50 amps, making them ideal for battery applications requiring circuit interruption. They support wire, PCB, and busbar contacts, providing a versatile connection system for multiple needs.
