The Amphe-PV H4 Plus from Amphenol Industrial Sustainable Technologies (AIST) is a robust, dual-certified DC connector designed for photovoltaic (PV) modules and installations worldwide. It offers enhanced durability and a secure mating configuration, building upon the established H4 connector. Key features include Amphenols low resistance RADSOK contact technology, compatibility with wire gauges from 14AWG/2.5mm to 8AWG/10mm, and an IP68 rating. Enhancements over the previous H4 model include a ratcheting gland back nut to prevent backspin, an improved sealing grommet for superior wet leakage performance, and optimized contact design for long-term stability. The design's use of gland nuts, environmental gaskets, wire-retention collets, and multi-gauge contacts reduces part count and generates cost savings. It is NEC Code Compliant, requiring a tool for unlocking.
