The Amphe-PV H4 Plus from Amphenol Industrial Sustainable Technologies (AIST) is a robust, dual-certified DC connector designed for photovoltaic (PV) modules and installations worldwide. It offers enhanced durability and reliability, building upon the established H4 connector. Key features include Amphenol's low resistance RADSOK contact technology, a wide wire gauge acceptance range (14AWG/2.5mm to 8AWG/10mm), and an IP68 rating. Enhancements over the previous H4 model include a ratcheting gland back nut to prevent backspin, an improved sealing grommet for superior wet leakage performance, and optimized contact design for long-term stability. The connector's design, utilizing gland nuts, environmental gaskets, wire-retention collets, and multi-gauge contacts, reduces part count and generates cost savings. It is suitable for all PV modules and installations across various end-markets.
