3M Scotchlok terminals are a premier line designed for effective and reliable performance across a broad range of applications. They offer design features that simplify installation, including positive and easy wire insertion, elimination of strand hang-ups and wire twisting, and easy insulation entry. These terminals are available for various insulation types such as heat shrink, nylon, and vinyl, and feature different barrel styles including butted, brazed, seamless, or interlocking barrels. They are offered in both bottle and bulk packaging.
The 3M Terminal Numbering System uses a code to identify product type, barrel style, wire size, stud/tab/bullet size, and product availability (e.g., bottle, bulk, bag). Color coding is used for wire size (Yellow: 26-24 AWG, Red: 22-18 AWG, Blue: 16-14 AWG, Yellow: 12-10 AWG, Red: 8 AWG, Blue: 6 AWG, Yellow: 4 AWG).
