The Amphenol USBF TV is a robust USB 2.0 connection system designed for harsh environments. It allows standard USB 2.0 cordsets to be inserted into a metallic plug, providing protection against shocks, dust, and fluids. Featuring a Tri-Start Thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-38999 series III type) with an anti-decoupling device for high vibrations, this system eliminates hazardous field cabling and grounding. Key advantages include IP68 sealing, shock, vibration, and traction resistance, improved EMI protection, and tool-free field assembly. The USBF TV is ideal for applications in embedded computers, data acquisition and transmission in harsh environments, railways, battlefield communication systems, and navy systems.
