The 3M Polarized Boardmount Socket, 8500 Series, offers reliable interconnect solutions with .100" x .100" centerbump polarization. Designed for mating with low-profile shrouded headers, these sockets feature a glass-filled polyester (PBT) body rated UL 94V-0 and a board retention feature for secure mounting during soldering operations. They are suitable for wave soldering at 260C for 10 seconds and soldering iron applications at 390C for 3 seconds. The product is RoHS compliant with specific exemptions for lead content in compliant pin and solder tail areas, and decaBDE in insulating material, as per EU Commission Decisions.
