The 3M Polarized Boardmount Socket, 8500 Series, offers reliable interconnect solutions with .100" x .100" centerbump polarization. Designed for mating with low-profile shrouded headers, these sockets feature a UL 94V-0 rated polyester body and a board retention feature for secure mounting during soldering operations. The series provides current ratings of 1 A and insulation resistance of > 1 x 109 at 500 VDC, operating within a temperature range of -55C to 105C. They are suitable for wave soldering at 260C for 10 seconds and soldering iron applications at 390C for 3 seconds.
