Product Overview
The Amphenol 97 Series is a general-duty, non-environmental standard cylindrical connector, designed to MIL-5015 style. It offers a cost-effective interconnection solution for a wide range of commercial applications, including automotive, robotics, machine tool, welding industries, heavy equipment, and ECG monitoring cables. Key features include solder or crimp termination, a wide selection of shell styles and insert patterns, and durable construction from high-grade aluminum alloy. These connectors are UL and CSA recognized, providing reliable performance in general-duty applications.
Design Characteristics: Medium to heavy weight, durable, field-proven design, single key/keyway polarization, non-rotating contacts, cost-effective, intermateable with existing 97 Series and SAE AS50151 connectors.
Customer Options: Six shell styles, 128 contact arrangements (1 to 52 circuits), alternate insert positioning, high temperature and potting constructions, special plating finishes (including gray zinc nickel, optional gold plating), thermocouple arrangements.
Shell Finish: Conductive cadmium plate finish with olive drab chromate after-treatment. Contacts are silver plated with pre-tinned solder cups. Optional gold over silver plating available.

Design Characteristics: Rugged metal shell, conductive finish, stamped & formed crimp contacts, closed entry socket contacts, plastic retention, utilizes standard 97 Series hardware, intermateable with existing 97 Series and SAE AS50151 connectors.
Customer Options: Positive self-centering of contacts, reduced user cost, greater contact to contact insulation, lighter weight, higher reliability.
Shell Finish: Standard - clear chromate over cadmium plate. Optional plating available.
Inserts: Molded of a 94V-O Underwriters Laboratory rated material.
Contacts: Copper alloy formed, silver plated (gold plating also available).
Wire Sizes: 12 AWG through 30 AWG.
