They are suitable for mezzanine applications when paired with vertical receptacles and meet Futurebus+ standards for data, industrial, instrumentation, medical, and telecom markets. Key benefits include modularity, scalability, flexible modular lengths, high signal density, and options for press-fit, solder-to-board, and pin-in-paste terminations. Varying pin lengths enable first-mate, last-break capability, and different length contacts at any position offer custom loading. The dual beam contact design in receptacles ensures electrical reliability and vibration resistance, while locating pegs provide accurate PCB positioning. These connectors are stackable with Metral high-speed ranges for mixed signal applications.
