The xFBR-45xxZ series of crimpless connectors are an advanced solution for terminating plastic optical fiber (POF) cables, designed as an enhancement to the HFBR-4501Z and HFBR-4503Z connectors. These connectors are fully compatible with Avago Technologies Versatile Link series transmitters and receivers. Their innovative snap-together design eliminates the need for crimping, reducing labor costs, tool requirements, and installation errors. Available in both latching and non-latching styles, the non-latching connectors can be combined to form duplex connections. Constructed from a rugged, flame-retardant ULTEM plastic, they are suitable for industrial and harsh environments. The connectors are offered in black, blue, and grey to facilitate easy identification of fiber connections, especially in complex setups. They are exclusively for use with plastic optical fiber.
