The HFBR-R/EXXYYYZ series comprises plastic optical fiber (POF) cables designed for reliable data transmission in industrial and telecommunications environments. These cables are compatible with Broadcom Versatile Link connectors and fiber optic components, offering both standard and extra low loss (ELL) POF options with varying attenuation levels. Applications include industrial data links for factory automation, intra-system connections, telecommunications switching, computer-to-peripheral links, proprietary LANs, digitized video, and medical instruments. They also contribute to the reduction of lightning and voltage transient susceptibility and provide high voltage isolation. The cables are constructed with a single step-index fiber sheathed in a black polyethylene jacket, with duplex versions featuring two simplex fibers joined by a zipcord web. Both standard and ELL cables comply with the UL VW-1 flame retardant specification.
