Spiral welded pipe: The low carbon carbon structural steel or low alloy structural steel strip is rolled into a tube blank according to a certain helix Angle (called forming Angle), and then the pipe joint is welded together. It can be made of narrow strip steel to produce large diameter steel pipe. The specifications are expressed by outer diameter * wall thickness, and the welded pipe should ensure that the hydraulic test, tensile strength and cold bending performance of the weld should meet the requirements.
Advantages of spiral welded pipe: (1) Steel pipes of different diameters can be produced by using strip steel of the same width, especially steel pipes of large diameters can be produced by narrow strip steel. (2) Under the same pressure condition, the stress of spiral weld is smaller than that of straight joint.
(3) Accurate size, generally diameter tolerance is not more than 0.12%.
(4) Can be continuous production, theoretically can produce infinite length steel pipe, cutting head, tail loss is small, can improve the metal utilization rate of 6% ~ 8%. (5) Compared with the straight welded pipe, its operation is flexible, the replacement of varieties is convenient to adjust.
