The steel cord elevator conveyor belt is a high-strength, heavy-duty rubber conveying component specially designed for vertical bucket elevators and large-inclination lifting conveyor systems. Unlike conventional fabric-layer conveyor belts, its main load-bearing structure consists of densely and parallelly arranged high-tensile steel cords embedded in a special rubber matrix.
This type of belt features extremely high tensile strength, ultra-low elongation, excellent flexural fatigue resistance and superior structural stability. It is mainly used for vertical lifting and steep-angle transportation of bulk granular materials such as coal, ore, limestone, cement clinker and chemical granules. It is widely applied in cement plants, mining, thermal power plants, chemical industry and port bulk material handling systems, serving as the core supporting component of high-altitude and heavy-load elevator equipment.
Ultra-High Tensile Strength
Supported by high-strength steel cord framework, the belt has far higher tensile strength than ordinary canvas conveyor belts. It can adapt to super-high lifting height and heavy load operation, and is suitable for large-scale vertical elevator equipment in heavy industrial scenarios.
Extremely Low Elongation
The permanent elongation under rated working load is less than 0.2%. It effectively avoids belt lengthening, slipping and bucket deviation caused by tensile deformation, reduces the frequency of tension adjustment, and ensures stable and continuous operation of the elevator.
Excellent Impact and Tear Resistance
The integrated steel cord structure cooperates with thickened wear-resistant cover rubber, which can withstand the strong impact of large-particle and sharp materials during blanking. It effectively prevents belt piercing, tearing and local damage, and improves the service life under harsh feeding conditions.
Superior Bending Fatigue Resistance
The uniformly arranged fine steel cords have reasonable stress distribution and good flexibility. It can adapt to long-term repeated bending of small-diameter pulleys, without steel wire breakage, rubber delamination and edge cracking, ensuring long-term stable operation.
Diversified Functional Customization
Multiple functional types are available for different working environments, including high-temperature resistance, flame retardant anti-static, low-temperature resistance, oil resistance and acid-base corrosion resistance, which can meet the operation requirements of various harsh industrial scenes.
General Wear-Resistant Type
Adopts high-quality natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber composite formula, with stable wear resistance and cost performance. It is suitable for normal-temperature lifting of limestone, raw ore, gravel and ordinary bulk materials in mines, sand and gravel plants and conventional industrial elevators.
Heat-Resistant Type
Specially used for lifting high-temperature materials such as cement clinker and calcined minerals. It is divided into multiple temperature grades: T1 (≤100℃), T2 (≤125℃), T3 (≤150℃), T4 (≤180–200℃), which can continuously operate stably in high-temperature working conditions and avoid rubber aging and softening failure.
Flame-Retardant Anti-Static Type
Added with high-efficiency flame retardant and anti-static agents, the belt body has excellent anti-static and self-extinguishing performance. It complies with coal mine safety standards and is specially applicable for vertical lifting operation in underground coal mines to prevent fire and static safety hazards.
Low-Temperature Resistant Type
Adopts special low-temperature rubber formula, which can maintain good elasticity and toughness in the environment of -40℃, without hardening, cracking or brittle failure. It is suitable for open-air elevator operation in cold northern mining areas.
Installation Requirements
Hot vulcanization splicing is the preferred joint process, which can ensure the overall tensile strength and sealing performance of the belt joint. Cold bonding is only applicable to emergency temporary maintenance. During installation, the parallelism of the driving and tail pulleys must be strictly calibrated to prevent belt deviation and unilateral overload of steel cords.
Daily Maintenance
Regularly check the belt surface for scratches, abrasion, cracks and local damage, and repair defects in time to prevent moisture and corrosive substances from invading the internal steel cord layer. Regularly detect the elongation of the belt, adjust the tensioning device to keep moderate tightness, and avoid material slipping and bucket collision. Clean the sundries between the belt and pulleys regularly to prevent local indentation and fatigue fracture of the steel cord.
