The NN conveyor belt uses nylon canvas for both warp and weft reinforcement. The only point to note is that NN fabric has relatively higher elongation under tension, so a longer take-up stroke for belt tension adjustment is required.

EP conveyor belt adopts polyester yarn in the longitudinal warp direction and nylon yarn in the transverse weft direction. Compared with NN belts, EP canvas conveyor belts feature extremely low longitudinal elongation, high tensile strength, excellent dimensional stability, better heat resistance and stronger hydrolysis/moisture resistance for outdoor rainy working environments. It requires far less frequent tension adjustment after installation, making it ideal for long-distance, high-capacity, high-speed heavy-load conveying projects, including coal handling in thermal power plants, raw material transportation in cement factories, bulk cargo transfer at seaports and open-pit mining operations. EP belts enjoy a longer service life under continuous heavy running and harsh outdoor conditions.
