AWS A5.14 Specification for the classification of bare nickel and nickel-alloy bare welding strip electrodes and welding rods. Grade ERNiCrMo-4 has exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive media, especially pitting and fissure corrosion resistance, which has been extensively used in the offshore and marine industry, is designed to match the composition and properties of Inconel alloy C276, mainly used for alloy C276 welding.
This filler metal ERNiCrMo-4 can also be used for heterogeneous materials welding between nickel base alloys C276 with other nickel-base alloys, and stainless steels as well as for overlaying welding and cladding. Sometimes also for welding of super Austenitic stainless steel. The typical applications include pumps, valves, pipework and vessels in the chemical process plants, equipment for flue gas desulphurization and for offshore in oil & gas field.
