Purpose

Lift light dust print and water-stained footprint. Under the irradiation of grazing incident light, the footprint contrast can be significantly improved.

A. The air bubbles between the lifter and the surface can be removed by repeated rolling.

B. The surface finish of the black silica gel lifter is extremely high, bringing it an obvious effect of mirror reflection. Under the irradiation of grazing incident light, the diffuse reflection of dust will contrast strongly with the mirror reflection of the background, which can significantly improve the contrast of the footprint.

C. The surface of the black silica gel lifter is particularly dark, bringing it light internal reflection. Under the irradiation of grazing incident light, the internal reflected light of the background has little interference to the diffuse reflection light of the dust, and the footprint contrast can be significantly improved.

D. The effect of lifting light dust print and water-stained footprint with the black silica gel footprint lifter is similar to that of the black gel footprint lifter. However, the price of the black silica gel footprint lifter is much lower than the gel one, so the black silica gel footprint lifter is more cost-effective. Latent fingerprint must be lifted by black silica gel footprint lifter; for light dust print and water-stained footprint, the black silica gel footprint lifter is more cost-effective.

E. After lifting the dust print with the electrostatic lifting method, re-lift the residual dust print on the surface with the black silica gel footprint lifter. The effect developed by this method will be better than the electrostatic lifting method.

Method of use

A. Tear off the protective film of the lifter.

B. Hold one end of the lifter, paste the front edge of the footprint with the other end of the lifter, and slowly roll the lifter by hand until it covers the entire footprint.

C. If air bubbles are left under the lifter accidentally, roll it repeatedly by hand to squeeze the air bubbles out from the edge of the lifter.

D. After making the lift, cover the footprint with the protective film.

E. Irradiate the lifted footprint on the lifter with grazing incident light, and take a picture of the footprint with the camera.

F. Scan the lifter with a footprint scanner to obtain a footprint image. The obtained footprint image has no edge distortion.
