6. Instruction for Use

1. Inspect Flange Faces: Ensure flange surfaces are clean, smooth, and free from scratches, rust, or debris. Inspect for any damage that may affect sealing.

2. Select Correct Size: Verify the gasket dimensions match the flange rating, size, and face type.

3. Position the Gasket: Center the gasket between the flange faces, ensuring the inner ring aligns properly with the flange bore.

4. Tighten Bolts Evenly: Apply lubricant to stud bolts and nuts. Tighten in a star pattern in at least three incremental steps (typically 30%, 60%, and 100% of target torque) to ensure uniform compression.

5. Achieve Proper Compression: Maintain the recommended compression rate of 25%-35% to ensure optimal sealing performance.

6. Final Torque Check: After reaching operating temperature and pressure, re-torque bolts if required by the plant procedure.

7. Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended bolt torque, as over-compression can damage the winding and reduce rebound performance.

• Ensure the gasket is compatible with the service media to avoid chemical attack (refer to chemical compatibility chart).

• Do not reuse removed gaskets; once compressed, the gasket may not recover fully and could compromise seal integrity.

• Store in a dry, cool, and clean environment, away from direct sunlight, oil, and chemicals.

• Handle with care to avoid bending or denting the winding rings before installation.

• For hazardous or high-risk applications, always follow site-specific safety and installation procedures.

8. Shipping Information
