1.Product Description
Cupronickel tubes are copper‑nickel alloy pipes with nickel contents typically between 10 % and 30 %, dominated by the widely used grades UNS C70600 (90/10 copper‑nickel) and UNS C71500 (70/30 copper‑nickel). They exhibit a stable face‑centered cubic lattice, providing excellent toughness and outstanding resistance to marine corrosion. The nickel addition promotes rapid formation of a thin, firmly adherent oxide film that acts as a self‑repairing barrier. These tubes are produced as seamless or welded types, complying with ASTM, ASME, EN, and GB standards for condenser, heat exchanger, and general piping service.
2.Product Applications
These tubes are indispensable in seawater and brine handling systems. Typical installations include:
Shipboard cooling, fire‑main, ballast and bilge piping, plus condenser tubing in navy and merchant vessels.
Tube bundles for heat exchangers, condensers, evaporators and distillers in thermal/nuclear power plants and chemical plants.
Evaporator and condenser sections in MSF and MED desalination units.
Offshore platform seawater supply, hydraulic lines, risers and firewater networks.
Coastal power station condensers and auxiliary cooling loops.
Additional uses: vehicle brake tubing, compressed air lines, and marine aquaculture recirculation systems.
