1.Product Description
Copper nickel bar is a solid rod product based on copper with nickel as the primary alloy. Typical grades include CuNi10 (10% Ni), CuNi14 (14% Ni), C70600 (90/10 cupronickel), and C71500 (70/30 cupronickel). Manufactured via vacuum melting, hot extrusion, and precision cold drawing, the bars offer tight dimensional tolerances (down to ±0.05 mm in diameter) and a smooth, oxide-free surface. Compliant with ASTM B151, EN 12163, GB/T 4423, and other standards.
2.Product Applications
Marine engineering:Seawater cooling pipelines, pump and valve bushings, heat exchanger tube sheets, propeller shaft sleeves.
Chemical equipment:Corrosion-resistant flanges, fasteners, agitator shafts for reactors, evaporator parts.
Electrical & power:Resistance elements for low-voltage devices, thermocouple protection tubes.
Precision manufacturing:Automotive hydraulic brake tubes, precision shafts for instruments, sensor housings.
3.Product Advantages
Seawater corrosion and erosion resistance:Forms a dense passive film; corrosion rate in flowing seawater < 0.025 mm/year, with excellent cavitation resistance.
High strength and toughness:Tensile strength ≥ 480 MPa (C71500), elongation ≥ 30%, combining rigidity with impact resistance.
Excellent workability:Good hot/cold formability; easy to turn, drill, tap; stable weldability (TIG, resistance welding).
Stable resistivity and thermal conductivity:Resistivity ~0.5 μΩ·m, thermal conductivity 30–75 W/(m·K), suitable for combined heating and cooling applications.
Low-temperature toughness:Maintains good impact toughness even at -200°C, suitable for LNG and deep-sea equipment.
