1.Product Description
The Copper Nickel Socket Weld Flange is manufactured from high-quality 70/30 Copper Nickel Alloy (CuNi 70/30, UNS C71500) in compliance with ASME B16.5 standard. This forged flange features a Class 150 pressure rating and socket weld connection type. The socket weld design allows the pipe to be inserted into a recessed area of the flange and welded around the outer diameter, creating a strong, leak-proof permanent connection ideal for high-pressure systems . The 70/30 copper-nickel alloy consists of approximately 70% copper and 30% nickel, with trace amounts of iron (0.6-1.0%) and manganese (0.5-1.5%), providing excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistanc.

Due to the alloy's exceptional resistance to seawater corrosion and biofouling, CuNi 70/30 flanges are widely used in :

3. Product Functions
The Copper Nickel Socket Weld Flange serves the following functions in piping systems :
Pipe Connection: Provides a reliable, leak-proof connection between pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment via bolting with bolts and specialized gaskets to ensure secure pressure-tight seals
System Access Point: Allows for easy disassembly and maintenance of piping systems
Pressure Containment: Safely contains system pressure up to Class 150 rating (and higher for other classes)
Flow Direction Control: Facilitates changes in piping direction when used with elbows or tees
Equipment Isolation: When used with blind flanges, can isolate sections of the piping system
