1. Product Description
Copper nickel elbows are pipe fittings manufactured from copper-nickel alloy (CuNi), primarily grades C70600 (90/10 copper nickel) and C71500 (70/30 copper nickel). The products are formed by forging or hot extrusion, followed by solution treatment to achieve a dense microstructure. They offer excellent seawater corrosion resistance, stress corrosion cracking resistance, and anti-marine fouling performance, making them ideal for highly corrosive piping systems.
2.Product Applications
These elbows are widely used in shipbuilding and offshore engineering (seawater cooling, ballast, and firefighting systems), desalination plant water transmission systems, power plant circulating cooling water, petrochemical corrosive media pipelines, as well as heat exchanger and condenser piping.
3.Product Advantages
Superior seawater and erosion resistance: Long-term use without pitting corrosion, even in high-velocity flow conditions.
Anti-marine fouling: Naturally inhibits attachment of barnacles, mussels, and algae, significantly reducing maintenance and cleaning costs.
Simple weldability: No preheating required before welding, and no post-weld heat treatment needed. Welds maintain corrosion resistance comparable to the base metal.
High strength and toughness: Tensile strength ≥300 MPa and good elongation, suitable for vibration-prone or dynamically loaded piping systems.
Available certifications: Can be supplied with classification society approvals such as ABS, DNV, BV, and CCS upon request.
