The battery charges whenever the monitor is connected to AC power. When using the monitor for the first time, the battery charge may be low. Fully charge the battery before use. Connect the monitor to AC power before operating solely on battery power.

The charging LED on the front panel displays the battery's charge status. The color of the LED indicates the remaining battery charge:

- Green: Battery is fully charged or nearly fully charged

- Flashing green: Battery is at a medium charge

- Yellow: Battery is low

- Flashing yellow: Battery is almost discharged

The PHiliph VM series monitor is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion smart battery, 14.4V, with a capacity of 6300mAh 98Wh. When fully charged, the battery can provide at least four hours of continuous monitoring (without printing) and measure blood pressure (NBP) every 15 minutes.

Please note that if the monitor displays a low-battery alarm within one hour of operating on a fully charged battery, the battery should be replaced. The battery requires a complete discharge/charge cycle to restore full capacity, and a full charge takes less than four hours. You can also charge the battery while using the monitor.
